Melinette Pallares was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. She grew up singing, dancing, and playing piano and decided to pursue higher education within the arts. After earning a BA in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas at Austin in just three years, Melinette moved to New York City to begin her career.

In the spring of 2017, Melinette made her professional debut in the critically acclaimed US Premiere of “In the Heights” in Spanish at the GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington DC. She then went on to perform in several professional regional theaters across the US. (Goodman Theater, Cleveland Play House, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Lyric Stage Dallas, Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, The Newport Music Festival, Radio City Music Hall) Shows include: American Mariachi, In the Heights, Legally Blonde, A Chorus Line, Man of La Mancha, and Evita. Melinette is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Most recently, Melinette made her Theatre Lab FAU debut as Martina in the NNPN Rolling World Premiere of Refuge (co-created by Satya Jnani Chávez and Andrew Rosendorf.
